OpenVis Conf 2018: a landmark event on data visualization!
From May 14th to 16th, come to an event devoted to data visualization and the only one of its kind in Europe.
A global event
OpenVis Conf 2018 welcomes specialists from all over the word and invites all designers, analysts, managers, consultants, journalists and communicators, to come and find out more about data visualization at a number of talks and workshops.
What is data visualization, also known as dataviz? It is a set of methods used to present data in a visual way. This is the focus of a major event taking place in Paris from May 14th to 16th, where emlyon business school, an organizing member, is contributing the expertise of its Data R&D Institute.
Attending OpenVis Conf 2018, will help you grasp how datavisualization enables more effective sharing by creating interactive dashboards, because our brains absorb concepts best through images. Specialists from business (Google), journalists (from The New York Times and The Washington Post) and academics (from MIT, University of Michigan, University of Edinburgh, and others) will be present.
A first for Europe
OpenVis Conf was launched in Boston in 2013 and is being held in Europe for the first time this year.
“The program always provides a good balance of technical and theoretical content that is presented by interesting and highly-qualified speakers.” - Matthew Brehmer, Microsoft Research
“I learnt a lot because the talks tackled areas that were close to my field of specialization as a data scientist, as well as areas that were further removed in the sectors of design and leading technologies in data visualization.” Julia Silge, Data Scientist at Stack Overflow.
