Situated in pleasant rural surroundings only 10 minutes from the centre of Lyon, EMLYON Business School combines the advantages of a large conurbation with those of a peaceful leafy campus. The modern buildings located in a large park of more than 18 acres, cover 30,000 m².

Among the different learning services and facilities on campus, you'll find: a library with over 20,000 titles (30% non-French), 300 periodicals and 25 specialised databases, a wireless campus-wide Internet connection, an advanced Language Center with computer based learning resources, and much more.

Away from class, you can take advantage of the on-campus sports facilities (basketball, tennis,workout room) as well as the newly created Caffè Ritazza.

Meals

The Ecole Centrale University Restaurant
36 avenue Guy de Collongue, Ecully.
Only a 5 minute walk from the EMLYON campus. It is open for lunch and for dinner Monday to Friday, and just for lunch on Saturdays.
The EMLYON Cafeteria
Breakfast and light meals (sandwiches, pizzas, quiches, salads) can be bought here.
It is open Monday to Thursday from 8am till 5:30pm ; Friday from 8am till 4:30pm
The 'Ecully Grand Ouest' shopping centre (Le Pérollier/Ecully)
About 15 minutes walk from EMLYON:
- Cafeteria Carrefour (on the 2nd floor), About 8 € for a meal.
- Cafeteria 'Flunch', in the mall. - About 8 € for a meal.
- You will also find a pizzeria, a McDonalds, and a restaurant/bar in the shopping centre.

Shopping
Several local businesses (open Monday to Saturday):
The 'Ecully Grand Ouest' shopping centre : Carrefour Hypermarket : food, clothing, newspapers, etc. Stores in the mall : pharmacy, bookstore, etc.

Banks
You will find French banks in Ecully as Crédit Agricole, Crédit Lyonnais BNP Paribas, Société Générale, etc.

Telephone
There are telephone booths at EMLYON that require a computerised telephone card. These cards are on sale at the EMLYON reception area or at the local tobacco shops or at the post office.

Transportation between Lyon and Ecully
The campus can be reached directly by taking bus lines n°3 and n°55
(the bus company is 'TCL' : Transports en Commun Lyonnais).
The bus schedules are posted at the bus stop in front of the Ecole Centrale.

To travel to EMLYON from downtown :
The bus terminus for line n°55 is at the "Perrache" train station and the bus terminus for the bus line n°3 is at the town hall opposite the opera. Note that the number of buses and their frequency is significantly reduced in the evening, on the weekend and during vacation periods.
To go downtown from EMLYON :
The bus stop for bus n°55 can be found in front of the Ecole Centrale (5 minutes walk from EMLYON campus); the bus stop for bus n°3 is on avenue Guy de Collongue in front of the EMLYON campus.

A bus or subway ticket costs 1,60 € . A book of 10 tickets costs 11,5 €. You can buy them from the bus driver or from automatic distributors in the subway. All tickets must be punched using the small yellow machine available when you get on the bus or on the subway platform. The ticket is valid for an hour even if you change buses or subway trains. However, they are not valid for a round trip. You can also buy tickets at the student price (-20%), if under 26 years of age in certain tobacco shops or in TCL agencies.

Sports Facilities
A multi-purpose gymnasium and open-air tennis courts are available at all times for individual and group training sessions as well as for competitive events (see student activities).There are also two swimming pools in close proximity to the campus.
