Philippe Silberzahn is Associate Professor at EMLYON Business School, focusing on innovation and high-tech entrepreneurship. He is also a Research Fellow at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, France, where he received his PhD.
His research interest lies at the intersection of innovative new product development and the management of uncertainty in dynamic, fast-changing environments. His work has been published in various academic and management journals, and he is the author of a book on innovation.
He has over twenty years of industry experience as an entrepreneur and CEO, having participated in the creation or acquisition of four high technology firms, and as an international consultant.
From 2004 till 2009, he was a Research Associate at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. During that period, has was also visiting lecturer at Sorbonne University, Ecole Centrale Paris, ENPC, and HEC Paris.
He holds a MSc in Computer Science, a MS in Management from the Sorbonne University, and an MBA from the London Business School.

My research interests lie at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. I study how businesses deal with radical uncertainty. I explore the role and actions of entrepreneurs and innovators in this process of markets and organization creation, and how large organizations manage strategic surprises and disruptions.
