Entrepreneurship Research Centre
The Entrepreneurship Research Centre

Launched in 2005, this research centre is to a certain extent the result of the previous research activities conducted by its current director, Alain Fayolle, within the French university context and funded by the French Ministry of Research. The Entrepreneurship Research Centre focuses on four main axes: Entrepreneurship education, including teaching models in Entrepreneurship Education and evaluating the effectiveness of Entrepreneurship Education Programmes; Entrepreneurial Processes; Corporate entrepreneurship; and evaluation of entrepreneurial policies and systems.

Holding a leading editorial position in several journals specialized in entrepreneurship, the leading role in Europe in Entrepreneurship Education, and past President of the French Académie de l'Entrepreneuriat, Alain Fayolle works with a dozen colleagues, who together supervise fifteen PhD students. The Entrepreneurship Research Centre has recently coordinated the publication of a series of Special Issues with the newspaper Les Echos about Entrepreneurship. This collaboration is significant of the prevalent position of the research centre in France in the field of Entrepreneurship. Finally, its Director, Alain Fayolle is regularly consulted as an expert by the French government.
