He joined Arthur Andersen's audit department in 1989 for three years where he gained diversified experience in listed companies.
He then joined Ernst & Young Paris in the consulting practice for international clients. He was involved in various projects, including the large restructuring programme of the state-owned steel mill for the Algerian government and several investigations in respect of cross border acquisitions and disposals.
He was seconded for two years in the E&Y London Corporate Finance Department where he enlarged his experience in cross border transactions. He participated to the disposition of the Barings Bank to ING and to the privatisation of British Coal. He went back to the French practice in the Lyon office where he carries out investigations and business plan reviews for valuation exercises. He was responsible for the valuation practice.
Pedagogical experience
Since April 1999 he is Professor in Finance at EM LYON. He has been Director of the Specialised Master's programme in Corporate Finance of EM LYON for 3 years. He is also associate professor at the University of Lyon II, in post graduate programs in the field of Mergers and Acquisition.
He taught numerous seminars in principles of corporate finance and shareholders value for large corporate executives programs such as Pechiney, Philips, Crédit Lyonnais, EADS.. etc.
Other experience
He also acts as consultant to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the privatisation process in Algeria. He arranges and moderates numerous congress including " The New Economy , a new opportunity for the Lyon metropolitan area" featuring Ch. Pierret, the Minister of Industry.
Member of the jury of "les Victoires des SICAV" : Price for the best inovative mutual fund. Competition orgarnised by la Tribune, Euro-VL and Standard & Poors.
