Module 1: European Business Environment
    From June 8th to June 19th, 2009

   Total ECTS credits: 5 (36 contact hours)

• This 2-week module will offer you the possibility to develop your understanding of European Business Environment, it will give you the background knowledge needed to understand Europe as a whole, thus underlining the common features of European Countries, but also emphasizing a notable characteristic of Europe: its diversity.
• Subjects covered:
  > European Business System
  > European Economic Integration
  > European Competition Law
  > European Social Responsability
  > European Corporate Governance
• Assessment: case studies, essays, viva voce presentations, written exams.
  

 Module 2: Entrepreneurship: Venture Capital
                     & Private Equity
    From June 22nd, to July 3rd, 2009

   Total ECTS credits: 5 (36 contact hours)

• This 2-week module is devoted to entrepreneurship and will let you take advantage of the expertise of EMLYON Business School professors, leaders in this field. This module will present the different entrepreneurial contexts and enable you to better understand the major entrepreneurial skills, which nowadays are required by most companies. Innovation, risk taking, project leading, leadership are the common topics you will discuss in the classroom. You will also learn how to evaluate an entrepreneurial opportunity.
• Subjects covered:
  > European Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs
  > Family Business
  > SME’s Management
  > Venture Capital in Europe
  > Corporate Entrepreneurship
  During this module, a session with entrepreneurs will be organised so that they can share their experience with you.
• Assessment: case studies, essays, viva voce presentations, written exams.
  

 Module 3 : Special topics depending on participants 
    preferences.   
    From July 6th, to July 17th, 2009

   Total ECTS  credits: 5 per course (24contact hours)

• This 2-week module allows participants to choose two courses in various sharp fields of Management, taught by internationally renowned professors, among a large range of electives such as:   

          > Global Capital Markets
          > Global Strategies
          > International Business Strategy
          > International Strategic Human Resources Management
          > Insurance Markets
          > Mergers and Acquisitions
          > Organisational Behaviour

• Assessment: case studies, essays, viva voce presentations, written exams.

• Social events: welcome and farewell dinners, cultural activities, networking activities
