"Management research fosters a singular relationship with the business
world. The fact that it is useful, that it "serves" directly entrepreneurial
decisions is considered normal. We also expect management research to elucidate
in a critical manner the way firms operate, to judge the legitimacy of entrepreneurial
acts, to unveil their effects
Research replies to specific temporalities. It does not come within the
scope of urgency and haste. It cries out for collective investments and interactions
and which are thought out, mature, endorsed in sincere and shared thematic choices
by researchers
This new scientific report tries modestly to illustrate the thematic choices
which have been made by EM LYON over the last few years and EM LYON's desire
to invest heavily in fields where academic freedom and social pertinence could
come together".
