Financial Times World Business School ranking - May 2007
04/06/2007

For the second year running, for “Open Programmes” and the 5th year running for Customised Programmes, EM LYON Executive Education is well ranked in the annual ranking of the world's best business schools for executive education.

In the general ranking (Open + Custom), EM LYON is now ranked:

36th in the world in the TOP 45 Business Schools (as opposed to 37th last year out of 40 universities)
 17th in Europe

This is due to the remarkable progress made by EM LYON's “Open Programmes (including PGM, DUA, certificates, programmes supporting the creation and takeover of businesses, and CPA Lyon, and a large share of the Language Centre's activities).

In the “Open Programmes” category EM LYON moves up 7 places moving from the 42nd to the 35th international ranking and joins the TOP European 15 rising from the 18th to the 14th ranking in Europe.

In this category, EM LYON is characterised by:
• The loyalty of its clients and its growth (7th European and 2nd French business school),
• Client after-training follow-up and opportunities linked to the network (10th in Europe),
• The relevance of the fields of competence taught, their implementation, how new ways of thinking are encouraged, recognised and effective balance between theoretical input and practical cases (9th in Europe in two criteria: Course Design and Teaching Materials),
• The flexibility of courses and class sizes,
• The candidate selection process and quality of information provided on the programme before the start of the year (10th in Europe),
• The quality of the faculty (10th in Europe).

We have considerably improved in major criteria:
• The percentage of foreign participants (up 18 places since the 2006 ranking),
• The quantity and quality of programmes conducted with partner schools (up 15 places),
Customised programmes are maintained at the 16th place in Europe and 4th place in France.

The strong points to be highlighted in this category:
 • The capacity to develop new and relevant content with respect to corporate needs, easily transposable in the field (6th in Europe and 3 rd in France).
• The capacity to work in partnership with other business schools (9TH in Europe).
• The quality of the faculty (12th in Europe)
• The importance of seminars deployed abroad ( 14th in Europe)

A BIG THANK YOU to the EM LYON Executive Education (Executive and Customised Programmes) team which actively contributed to obtaining these excellent results.
