The World Entrepreneurship Forum 2008: first results, next actions

The World Entrepreneurship Forum has been held in Evian, France, from November 13 -15, 2008.It gathered 72 participants of 35 different nationalities and more than 300 participants for the Gala Evening on November 14. First outcomes of the think tank are the publication of official documents, and a new founding member.
• After three days of debates on the theme of “The entrepreneur, creator of wealth and social justice”, the members of the think tank jointly put together a “Universal Declaration on the role of the entrepreneur in the world” to be published in the coming weeks.
• The publication of the “White Paper”, synthesizing the discussions and recommendations of the Forum, is scheduled for spring 2009.
• A book co-written by Patrick Molle, President of EMLYON Business School, Leonard Schlesinger, President of Babson College and Jean-Luc Decornoy, President of KPMG SA, will be published in September 2009.
• Internationally recognized business school Babson College (Boston, USA), global leader in entrepreneurship education, has decided to join EMLYON Business School and KMPG as a founding member. Babson College brings to the think tank new financial resources and unique networks in North-America. As a result of its new status as a founding member, Babson College will participate, together with a first-tier Chinese university, to the organisation of the World Entrepreneurship Forum Junior which will be held in Shanghai in July 2009.
• The 2009 edition of the World Entrepreneurship Forum will be held from November 18 -22, 2009, with 100 members.
