Chris is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior in the MRH unit at EM Lyon. His research focuses on the influence of CEO’s emotions on the board of directors’ dynamics and performance in crisis situations. His work stands out by its theoretical contribution, the population studied and the methodologies used. Indeed, many researchers study emotion in the laboratory, which weakens their ecological validity and the extrapolation of their results. Contrary to this tendency, his work combines laboratory studies with field experiments conducted with CEOs from the largest French companies and their boards of directors in situation. Chris's empirical investigations provide a wide range of quantitative and qualitative material which he intends to use to write research articles in peer reviewed journals. Besides his research activities, Chris already has started to co-writte a book on the emotional intelligence of business leaders with Jacques Séguéla, one of the most visible French executives and thought leaders.

A native of France, Chris did a post-doctoral research fellowship at INSEAD in the Organizational Behavior department and earned a joined Ph.D. in management from ESCP-EAP and PARIS X University. Chris received a joined D.E.A (M.Sc.) from the Ecole Polytechnique de Paris, Ecole des Mines de Paris, ESCP-EAP, ESSEC & Université Paris X, and a M.Sc. in strategic management from the University of Stirling.
