CCI Lyon Métropole, Qualium Investissement and Bpifrance confirm their strategic, shareholders’ alliance with emlyon business school
Lyon, September 5, 2019 - CCI Lyon Métropole Saint-Etienne Roanne, Qualium Investissement and Bpifrance are today announcing the closure of the operation announced in June 2019 to open up the capital of the emlyon group. Qualium Investissement and Bpifrance are therefore becoming shareholders of early makers group SA in order to support all of its activities, to finance its development projects, and to underline the attractiveness and excellence of emlyon business school in France and internationally.
The start of exclusive negotiations was announced on June 13. It signaled the desire of CCI Lyon Métropole, the school’s founder and principal shareholder, to create a new educational model, one that will enable emlyon business school to pursue its development on the global stage. This new model will respect the school’s fundamental values and ‘golden rules,’ the specific rights given to CCI to preserve the fundamental principles of the school.
This unprecedented operation takes the form of a commitment to provide equity capital of around €100 million over the next five years.
emlyon business school will be led by an Executive Board under the control of a Supervisory Board. In the months ahead, the school’s share capital will be opened to employees of the emlyon group and the school’s graduates (the alumni), enabling these key players to be even more involved in the success of the project and to renew their attachment to the school.
