emlyon business school inaugurates its new Casablanca campus
Casablanca, 13 October 2018 - emlyon business school inaugurated its new Africa campus, in the presence of Alain Galliano, Vice-President of the Lyon Métropole, Myriam Benchara, Vice-President of Lyon Métropole Saint Etienne Roanne CCI, Mr Larbi Belarbi, Vice-President of the Social Economic and Environmental Council of Morocco, and Honorary President of the emlyon Business School Alumni Association in Morocco, Sonia Jedidi, Scientific and Academic Cooperation Attaché at the French Embassy in Morocco, Bruno Bonnell, Chairman of the Board emlyon business school, Bernard Belletante, Dean of emlyon business school, and many representatives of African embassies in Morocco.
Established since 2015 in Morocco, in partnership with the Moroccan Group KMR Holding Pédagogique, emlyon business school has carved out a place in the country’s ecosystem, as well as on the African continent. At the start of the academic year, the school of business and management reached the symbolic milestone of 1000 learners: 400 students following qualifying courses and 600 executives following tailor-made executive programmes.
"With this new campus, we are giving ourselves the means to continue our mission with the excellence and responsibility that characterise our school. We intend to bring these values to our Moroccan and other African campuses” said Tawhid Chtioui, Dean of emlyon business school Africa, during his opening remarks.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by over 400 guests, students, parents, teachers, graduates, and partners, etc.
emlyon business school set up in Morocco two years ago, and has since carved out an excellent reputation in the country, as well as within the African continent. Located in the heart of Casablanca, this new innovative campus has been designed to connect business and academic establishments, eliminating barriers between the two.
Covering 5000 sq. m, this innovative space has its own creativity and learning hub, a makers' lab, and an incubator, as well as modular classrooms and co-working spaces. All facilities are equipped with ultra-modern technology. Including the latest technology in terms of dynamic, flexible and connected lighting in the context of a partnership agreement signed with Philips Lighting, which is a first for a higher education establishment.
Mobility between emlyon business school’s campuses in Lyon, Saint-Etienne, Paris, Shanghai, Bhubaneswar and Casablanca, makes it possible to develop inter-continental educational pathways.
