R Yousra Rahmouni El Idrissi Ph.D. Candidate - Teaching and Research Assistant Strategy & Organization Morrocan, educated in France and China. Her dissertation explores the significance of bodies and embodiment in social movements’ organizing. Through a two-year ethnography of a French grassroots’ climate movement born in the wake of civil society mobilization around COP21, she investigates the bodily practices and embodied processes involved in using ‘non-violence’ as a privileged tactic of action. Her research thus explores the challenges associated with the development of a new social movement organization promoting a culture of both non-violence and self-sacrifice and its impact on issues of identity, norms, learning and knowing. Marjolaine Rostain Ph.D. candidate Strategy and Organization French, Marjolaine has a background in chemical engineering and a specialized master in technology and innovation management. After four years as a director of a French cluster in bio-based materials, she has decided to come back to academic. She is an ethnographer of work and studies the interaction between different communities of workers in industrial setting; she is interested in how workers coordinate their interactions and their daily tasks in order to find some values in their work.
