Program

The Master of Science (MSc) in Supply Chain & Operations Management offered by emlyon business school is accessible after a Bachelor minimum (valid diplomas include bac +4 or bac +3).
 
This program enables foreign or French students to acquire a high-level, specialized education aimed at the main functions of supply chain & purchasing in companies whose scope is resolutely oriented towards international markets. It is designed to enhance students' understanding of global operations and supply chain challenges through both academic rigor and real-world application.
 
This program requires a professional mission during the course for a minimal duration of 4 months (internship, VIE, fixed-term contract or permanent contract).
 
  • Entry in year 1: 24 months, including a minimum of 4 months of professional experience and a maximum of 12 months
  • Entry in year 2: 12 months, including 4 to 6 months of professional experience

Prerequisite online courses only for non-business student
You will first follow a core syllabus which will allow you to acquire the fundamentals of management, gain the necessary skill set of international business management and apply it to the industry.

Year 1 - Building expertise in Supply Chain & Operations 

The program begins by building strong foundations in supply chain and industrial management. Students gain essential skills in procurement, logistics, project management, international trade, and data analysis. This curriculum combines technical knowledge with leadership and innovation. Cross-cultural collaboration and teamwork are emphasized throughout. Courses are delivered across Lyon and international locations.

This International Seminar is a unique opportunity to engage in insightful conferences and connect with numerous companies in an international context. If offers a firsthand understanding of how the economic landscape influences business strategies, while also immersing you in the local culture. Finally, it is also a way to start developing your international network. 
 

Internship

 
April to August 
 
The internship will last from 4 to 6 months. It is a valuable opportunity to apply what you've learned in your studies and gain hands-on experience in the field. Alternatively, it can also provide the work experience you need to complete your degree and graduate from the program. The school will provide the necessary resources and support to help you secure an internship that suits you. 

Year 2 - Strategic Development and professional Growth

The second phase focuses on specialization and applied learning in real-world contexts. Students deepen their expertise through industry-aligned courses, consulting projects, and immersive experience. Emphasis is placed on strategic thinking, digital transformation, and sustainable operations. The final semester includes an internship and thesis to prepare for global supply chain careers.

Expected English level
 
A good level of English is paramount to succeed in the program. We recommend that students apply only if they have a level of English equivalent to the C1 level.
C1 corresponds to a level of experienced user (autonomous level). This means that you can understand long, demanding texts and grasp implicit meanings. Express yourself spontaneously and fluently without much searching for words.

emlyon business school introduced a new tool in the selection process which is in line with today's digital landscape and the practices of major international companies in their search for new talents.
 
Once your online application file completed, you will be asked to go through some digital tests including cognitive tests and professional role-playing linked with the program you're applying for and the emlyon business school's early maker spirit.
 
To take these digital tests that you will realize alone, we recommend you to adopt a professional posture and to be in a quiet place. These tests will last about 1 hour and a half. The digital tests will require a computer and a stable wifi connection.

 

The global acceptance rate for Masters, Masters of Science and Advanced Masters for the 2025 intake was 51% (admitted students on applicants rate).

The application fee for the 2026 intake is set at €120, payable directly by credit card through the online application system.
 
  • Students with a French CROUS grant are exempted of the application fee if they provide the final notice of allocation of this grant for the current academic year.
  • High Level Athletes are also exempted of the application fees if they provide a sport resume validated by the director of the Sports department. If this is your case, please contact Mr Mickaël ROMEZY: romezy@em-lyon.com.

The admissions board will review your application and your digital tests. You will receive an email as soon as possible to inform you that your results are available on your makersboard.
 
Confirm your enrollment.
You will have 10 calendar days after your admission results to complete the enrollment form on your makersboard and pay the non-refundable tuition deposit of €4,500.

    Test scores can be submitted after admission, within a set deadline.
